Loblaws Gift Cards

What Are They? A great cash for cash way to raise money for your team and the association.

How Do They Work? You place an order for the amount of Loblaws coupons you require with the manager or person responsible for the coupons on your team. This person then places a team order and one cheque is given from the team in exchange for the coupons. The coupons can be used at Loblaws, Independent, No Frills, Zehrs and Superstore – just to name a few. They are available in denominations of $25, $50, $100 and $250. 3% of the proceeds go directly back to your team and 2% goes to the association.

Are They Worthwhile? If there are 12 players on your team, assume that there are 20 weeks in the season and that each player uses $100 worth of coupons per week: this means that your team is using $1200 per week and $24000 per season which is pure profit of $720 for your team for the season. The average entry fee for a tournament is between $500 and $750, so if a team uses Loblaws coupons this way, they get to participate in one free tournament for the season! At the same time, $480 has been raised for the association. Not a bad amount of money to raise for just using coupons for paying for groceries, drugs, school supplies, electronics, etc..

How Do We Get Them? Team orders can be picked up on the following dates:

  • Monday, Oct. 17 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Variety West Room at Walter Baker
  • Monday, Nov. 7 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Variety West Room at Walter Baker
  • Monday, Nov. 14 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Variety West Room at Walter Baker
  • Monday, Dec. 5 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Variety West Room at Walter Baker
  • Dates for after Christmas will be released in December

Orders need to be placed one week prior to the pick up date. Team orders may be placed using the following form: (.DOC) or (.PDF)

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I have been using the Loblaws coupons to raise funds for my daughters’ teams for several years and once parents get used to purchasing them regularly, it is very easy.

I will send out reminders as to when the orders are due. If your team has an order to place in between the established pick up dates, let me know and we will way to make it happen. Let’s make this a venture a resounding success!
