SHOT CLOCK INFORMATION

New This Year: Shot clocks will be used in "B" divisions of all age groups, in addition to "AA", "A" and Petite-Competitive divisions.

Responsibilities

The Home team for all NCRRL, LERQ and exhibition games is responsible for providing off-ice officials (shot clock operator, timekeeper and scorekeeper) as well as a shot clock or controller.

The Home team Manager (or delegate) is responsible for coordinating the pickup and return of shot clock remotes (or portable shot clocks), including any hand-offs required to other teams also using the same shot clock that day.

Shot Clocks for Nepean Arenas

Sportsplex 1, Sportsplex 2 and Walter Baker B rinks have shot clocks permanently installed and maintained by Nepean Ringette. The primary remotes for all 3 are kept by Claude Carriere. A set of emergency spare remotes is kept by Nick Sirenko.

Merivale arena has installed shot clocks of the same type as Sportsplex and Walter Baker. The remote is kept by the rink staff in the Zamboni garage.

Bell arena has installed shot clocks which are controlled by the scoreboard controller using a wired remote that plugs into the controller (clock). The remote is kept by the rink staff in the Zamboni garage.

The Bell Sensplex rinks have the same model shot clocks as Sportsplex and Walter Baker. The remotes are kept by the arena staff (rink crews).

Portable Shot Clock: Nepean Ringette has one portable shot clock set which may be used when the installed shot clocks at an arena are inoperable, or if playing a game at another facility.
