Bunnies (Learn-to-Skate)How to Register: go to the Registration Page on the NRA website. About the NRA Bunny/Learn-to-Skate Program: Our Bunnies will be divided up into groups based on ability and the number of volunteers we have on the ice. We teach according to Ontario Ringette Association's Bunny Program starting off with basic skating skills and moving on to actual ringette skills as the kids develop. Since we split the kids up, we can’t always keep siblings and friends together but they will always be on the ice at the same time. Ice times are tentatively Fridays at 6pm and 7pm at Bell Arena. Occasionally, ice times may be cancelled due to city ice contracts and tournaments. You will be notified in advance of these cancellations. Full ringette equipment is required which includes a mandatory CSA approved helmet with a proper ringette face mask (hockey mask holes are too large and the end of a ringette stick may fit through). Please see the NRA Ringette Equipment Information page for details on required equipment. All volunteers are required to wear a CSA approved helmet as well. "Real" games are not played but we do have some mini games and scrimmages as the season progresses. Bunny (Learn to Skate) aged children who have played for 2 years, or have played one year and are 7 years old, may consider moving up to Novice if they have strong skating skills. If you have any questions or wish to volunteer to help out please contact Bunny Coordinator (see below). Let’s have a great season!PLEASE NOTE, FULL RINGETTE EQUIPMENT IS ALWAYS REQUIRED!!
