It was a very successful weekend for Nepean Ravens U16A in Pointe Claire this weekend, posting a 4-2 record on the weekend with our 4th consecutive win over Metcalfe to start things off Friday followed up by a Shutout win over Richmond Hill.
Friday night was eventful, the power went out at the hotel but the parents improvised with ironing boards as tables in the hotel hallway with emergency lights for our potluck dinner, mac and cheese was cooked by plugging into a car!
On Saturday, the success continued with a convincing win over Etobicoke. Then Saturday night we played our hardest game of the season so far against the leading team in the LRQ Ste Marie, we lost a close game 3-2 to finish the round robin in 2nd place with a 3-1 record.
Nepean Ravens U16A posted a 4-0 shutout win in the semi finals against Etobicoke, then faced Ste Marie again in the finals. We ended the game 6-3 but the fight and determination was there, we never gave up and hit a couple of posts along the way as well.
Very proud of this team and excited as we continue with our ranking tournaments in January.
